NOV 14 Θέατρο, Ποίηση και Μαχητική Πολιτική

Περφόρμανς στην Ακαδημία Πλάτωνος, Αθήνα, 14 Νοεμβρίου 2015 Τέσσερις ποιητές-performers απο το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο θα παρουσιάσουν πολιτικά μαχητική εργασία που συνδέεται με την παρούσα κατάσταση καταπίεσης.

Η Lucy Beynon και η Lisa Jeschke παρουσιάζουν David Cameron [a theatre of knife songs], ένα γκρούπ απο σύντομες εργασίες που τοποθετούνται στο όριο μεταξύ θεάτρου και ποίησης. ‘Η ιδιαίτερη ισχύς του θεάτρου έγκειται στην αδυναμία του να αποσπαστεί σωστά από τις δυνάμεις που περιγράφει.’

Ό Sean Bonney θα δώσει μια σύντομη ομιλία Destructive Writing / Writing Beyond Protest, και θα διαβάσει αποσπάσματα απο το έργο του. Για πολλά χρόνια, ο Bonney εργάζεται πάνω στη δημιουργία νέων μορφών (δυνάμεων) ποίησης που εκτείνονται πέραν του κατεστημένου, για να συνεισφέρουν στη συζήτηση μεθόδων για την κατάριψη του καπιταλισμού.

Ο William Rowe θα δώσει μια σύντομη ομιλία Emotion in Poetry Against Capitalism, και θα διαβάσει μερικά απο τα ποιήματά του. Για αρκετά χρόνια ο William Rowe γράφει ποιήματα και δοκίμια για τη σχέση μεταξύ ποίησης και επανάστασης.

Theatre, Poetry and Militant Politics
Performance at the Avtonomi Akadimia, Athens, 14th November 2015

Four performers-poets from the UK will present politically militant work which engages with the current situation of oppression.

Lucy Beynon and Lisa Jeschke present David Cameron [a theatre of knife songs], a set of brief pieces that cross the boundary between theatre and poetry. ‘Theatre’s particular potency is in its failure to be properly abstracted from the forces it describes.’

Sean Bonney will give a brief talk on Destructive Writing / Writing Beyond Protest, and read some of his work. Bonney has been working for many years to create new forms (forces) of poetry that work beyond the poetic per se in order to contribute to wider discussions about strategies that can help in the movement to overthrow capitalist reality.

William Rowe will give a brief talk on Emotion in Poetry Against Capitalism, followed by a reading of some poems. William Rowe has been writing poetry and prose for some years from the relation between poetry and revolution.
